Higgo's Heroes is back for 2017

Wednesday, March 15, 2017 - 8:26 PM by Chris Pike

WE are delighted to announce that the WAFL's hottest program Higgo's Heroes is back for 2017 with South Fremantle ruckman Brock Higgins delving deep inside the Bulldogs with all the hard-hitting questions for his star-studded line-up of guests.

Higgo's Heroes had big shoes to fill in 2016 taking over from the supremely popular and successful Whitey's Whispers that had been hosted by Bulldogs legend, 192-game dual premiership player Craig White.

His retirement following the 2015 season might have been significantly easier to replace on the field than it proved to be off it with the hard-working Whitey's Whispers production team suddenly left without a host.

Whitey's commitment and professionalism would prove hard to cover and the replacement host Higgo left a lot to be desired, but somehow his show Higgo's Heroes proved tremendously popular.

It suddenly became the most sought after program in the WAFL and Higgo's phone was being blown up with people wanting to get that cherished seat next to him.

Now coming into 2017, Higgo's Heroes had proven so successful that it was offered up as a special item at the club's Gala Auction. And who else would place the winning bid than the father of the old host, Ian White.

The first edition of Higgo's Heroes for 2017 can be seen below as Higgo chats with White Senior about his passion for South Fremantle, his son's career, his favourite Bulldogs memories and players, his work as a scout with AFL club Essendon, his horse racing passion and much more.

It is a first episode that will be hard to top in coming weeks but stay tuned for plenty more from Higgo's Heroes throughout 2017.
