ALLOMES MEDAL COUNT 2023

Tuesday, July 25, 2023 - 10:39 AM

On Friday the 21st of July we held our annual Allomes Medal Count. The night recognized all the hard work and effort of both our WAFLW and Rogers Cup teams.

Sally and Jenna Allomes joined us on this special night - the award is named after them and their efforts and contribution throughout Women's Football.

The 2023 Allomes Medallist was awarded to Ariana Hetherington - in her first-ever year at South Fremantle Football Club.

Ariana won the vote count by 40 votes, finishing with 116 votes. Kloe Bassett came in 2nd place with 76 votes, and Liusaidh Gilchrist and Molly O'Hehir tied for 3rd place with 70 votes.

2023 was also the first year of the "Liv Hunt" Award. A new annual award, voted by Rogers Cup players for the team-mate who best personifies Courage, Determination, and Inspiration. The award has been named after Liv Hunt who lost her battle to Sarcoma this year. A very special moment having Liv's parents Jackie and Bernard present the award, to the very deserving winner Summer Mollross.

It was an amazing night celebrating a brilliant season from both our WAFLW and Rogers Cup sides. Massive thank you to all the sponsors for your continuous work to support and build this program.
