WHAT South Fremantle coach Todd Curley had to say following the Round 19 victory over East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval to keep the Bulldogs in second position on the WAFL ladder. South Fremantle now takes on Perth this Saturday in Carnarvon.

QUESTION: The pressure was on at three quarter-time after they came back pretty hard in the third quarter. You had the breeze but still had to do the hard work and you would have pleased they did it?
ANSWER: It was probably pleasing that we got back to playing our way a bit. The first half was pretty good and at half-time we always knew that they were going to come out and respond, and they did. We lost our composure for a little bit but we finished off OK which was pleasing.

Player Column – Josh Pullman Round 19

Thursday, July 28, 2016 - 6:07 PM - by Josh Pullman

ANOTHER week closer to the business end of the season! We haven’t achieved the results that we wanted in either grade over the past three weeks and are hungry to get back into our groove.

You typically talk about individual players who are in and out of form. You hear about players training hard, and working their way back into a rhythm.

Travis Cloke has probably been the most well-documented case of that this year. The same principle applies at the team level.

Coach Post Match – Todd Curley Round 18

Tuesday, July 26, 2016 - 4:36 PM - by Chris Pike

WHAT South Fremantle coach Todd Curley had to say following the Thursday night WAFL clash with Subiaco at Medibank Stadium and looking ahead to this Saturday's derby with East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

QUESTION: You probably did a lot of things right after quarter-time but like against Claremont the last game, giving up the opening five goals was always going to make it tough?
ANSWER: It's probably the first 15 minutes that were the game when they kicked five goals. I thought we showed a bit of character after that and started to do some things we had trained and wanted to do, but when you have to come from behind you get tired late. But to their credit when they were challenged I thought they smashed us in the last quarter especially around the stoppages. We had a few young blokes in so there's a bit to learn from.
